The Edava Kuruthi Mahotsavam at Sri Mulamkadakam Devi Temple, Kollam is a spiritually significant annual festival dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali. Celebrated on 18 & 19 May 2026, the festival is marked by sacred Kuruthi rituals, special Devi poojas, devotional chanting, and traditional temple ceremonies conducted according to Kerala temple customs. The temple atmosphere becomes vibrant with oil lamps, prayers, percussion music, and spiritual gatherings as hundreds of devotees visit to seek divine blessings. Important highlights include Deeparadhana, special offerings, and ritual ceremonies that symbolize protection, prosperity, and devotion.

The Thiruvutsavam and Prathista Varshikam at Sree Annapoorneshwari Devi Temple, Kollam is a divine annual festival celebrated with great devotion and traditional Kerala temple rituals. Held on 15 & 16 May 2026, the festival includes sacred ceremonies such as Samooha Pongala, Kalashabhishekam, Ganapathi Homam, and Annadanam, attracting hundreds of devotees. Beginning on 19 May 2026, the festival includes Samooha Pongala, Kalashabhishekam, Ganapathi Homam, and special poojas dedicated to Goddess Durga Bhagavathy. The celebrations continue with the grand Sree Bhadradevi Thottampattu Utsavam from 20 May to 29 May 2026, featuring devotional music programs, dance performances, Annadanam, Devi Kalyanam, Thalappoli procession, and the powerful Maha Kuruthi Pooja.
Uliyakovil, Kollam
The 41st Srimad Bhagavatha Sapthaha Jnana Yajnam 2026 at Thamarakudy Sree Mahadevar Temple, Kollam is a spiritually significant Kerala temple festival celebrated with devotion, sacred rituals, Bhagavatha Parayanam, and traditional poojas. Conducted from May 18 to 24, 2026, the seven-day yajnam is led by Bhagavatha Sree Abhilash Keezhuttoot and features important events including Varaha Avataram, Narasimha Avataram, Sree Krishna Avataram, Govinda Pattabhishekam, Rukmini Swayamvaram, and Kuchelopakhyanam. The festival also includes daily Bhagavatha Pravachanam, Annadanam, Deeparadhana, Bhajans, Vidya Gopala Mantrarchana, Navagraha Pooja, and the concluding Avabhritha Snana Ghoshayatra attended by devotees from across Kerala.
